Illegal Plumber Convicted in Pitman
On November 27, 2007 defendant Jim Hoffman of Bridgeton, New Jersey pled guilty to advertising for plumbing services in multiple south jersey newspapers.
Hoffman was represented by a local attorney. Prosecutor Kelly Conroy just back from giving birth to a baby girl expertly explained the plumbing law to Hoffman’s defense attorney and accepted a plea agreement.
The Honorable Judge Powell issued a $ 100.00 dollar fine, $ 75.00 safe neighborhood compensation, $ 50.00 violent crimes compensation, $ 32.00 court costs and a Plumbing Restraining Order.
Jim Hoffman said “I will never do plumbing again”.
Judge Powell informed Mr. Hoffman that the last illegal plumber in his court was fined $2,500.00.
